Event Highlights Questions About Pay-For-Access
April 14, 2026—President Donald Trump is expected to headline an upcoming cryptocurrency memecoin conference giving top investors exclusive access at a luncheon at the Trump family’s Mar-a-Lago estate later this month, according to advertisements for the event.
It’s an indication that even as the president implements public policy, he takes time off his official role to make money from sales of his personalized, celebrity memecoin. It is another sign of the merging of government and business. Furthermore, it raises concerns about political influence-for-sale amid the opaque world of cryptocurrency.
Exclusive Gamified Invite
The April 25 event is an exclusive, invite-only gala for people holding the $TRUMP token. It is the second event of its kind, amid scrutiny and controversy on conflicts-of-interest.
Promoted as “billed “a memory you will talk about forever!,” the event features boxer Mike Tyson, Paolo Ardoina, chief executive officer of Tether, Tony Robbins, a motivational speaker, and an array of crypto-enthusiasts and private equity investors in the lineup.
The guest list is based on a gamified point system. The 297 investors with the highest number of “points” on the “leaderboard” win invites, while the top 29 holders receive a “VIP reception” with the president.

Gamified Leaderboard List
It appears impossible to decipher who the top “leaderboard” investors are. For one, the investors’ names are anonymous. For example, some of the top invitees are named “Sun,” “Ciz7yt…7VvE,” “K,” and “嗯哼NB.”
The point system is based on time-weighted average holdings from March 12-April 14. Reportedly, large crypto investors called “whales” are trading in heavy volumes worth between $200,000 and $2.4 million over the past several days, according to blockchain analyst LookonChain.
Meanwhile, the $Trump coin price has dropped 30 percent over the last month to $2.81.
Senate Democrats Are Investigating the Event
Senate Democrats Elizabeth Warren, Mass., Adam Schiff, Calif., and Richard Blumenthal, Conn., are investigating the event. In a letter requesting documents by April 21, the senators wrote:
“In other words, event organizers are promoting a conference by dangling access to President Trump to potential attendees (and in doing so, are encouraging purchases of his meme coin that will generate transaction fees for the President and his family) on a day he may not actually be able to attend,” they wrote. “We have previously raised concerns with President Trump’s willingness to use the presidency for personal profit – including a similar dinner President Trump promoted for meme coin holders last year. It is essential that Congress fully understand the extent to which President Trump and his family are profiting off of his cryptocurrency ventures. Congress must also take steps to prohibit and prevent these egregious conflicts of interest.”
