About Global Economic Report
Global Economic Report is an independent, U.S.-based news publication for a general audience. We report and publish analysis on three connected subjects: economic empowerment, democratic empowerment, and the merits and limits of international law. Our coverage examines how decisions by governments, businesses, and international institutions affect people’s lives and their ability to shape those decisions.
We cover economic policy, trade, diplomacy, geopolitics, and congressional action when they bear on those subjects. Our work includes news briefs, reporting, and analysis.
Global Economic Report is published by Mohr Media LLC, an independently owned, for-profit media company. The publication currently carries advertising and receives investment from its owner as it builds its audience. Mohr Media plans to expand advertising revenue and develop paid syndication of original journalism. Editorial decisions remain with the publication, independent of advertisers and outside institutions.
Founder and editor
Patti Mohr is the publisher and editor of Global Economic Report. She previously worked as a staff journalist for Education Daily and Tax Notes and held congressional press credentials during her reporting career. She holds a master’s degree in International Commerce and Policy from George Mason University and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a certificate in journalism from the University of Cincinnati.
